Kojo A. Addo
Kojo Addo is the founding attorney of Addo Law, a personal injury firm built on the belief that injured people deserve clarity, honesty, compassion, and an advocate who will stand up for them against insurance companies relentlessly on their behalf. Being injured and dealing with the pain and losses associated with the injury is stressful enough, and Kojo is dedicated to taking the stress of dealing with defendants and insurance companies off of your shoulders.
Known for his meticulous preparation and steady, client-centered approach, Kojo represents Minnesotans who have been injured in crashes, falls, dog attacks, wrongful death incidents, and other circumstances where people are injured through no fault of their own.
Kojo began his legal career at one of Minnesota’s largest and most recognized personal injury firms, where he was recruited as a law clerk while completing his Juris Doctor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. From the beginning, his work ethic, analytical ability, and intuitive understanding of people made him an essential contributor to high-stakes cases. He gained significant trial experience and worked on complex matters that required careful strategy, deep investigation, and the ability to tell a client’s story with clarity and strength. The firm relied on his preparation and steady presence — and the experience affirmed that he was meant for this work.
Since 2022, Kojo has been recognized as a Rising Star by Minnesota Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for only 2.5% of attorneys in the state. He has also been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch since 2021, a designation awarded to emerging lawyers who demonstrate exceptional promise and professional excellence in personal injury litigation.
In 2018, Kojo was selected for the highly competitive American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) National Trial College at Yale Law School. In 2022, he returned to Yale as a Teaching Fellow, joining a national faculty focused on sharpening trial advocacy skills for the next generation of litigators.
Kojo approaches every case with respect and care, recognizing that an injury affects far more than the body — it disrupts work, family life, identity, and stability. His practice includes all aspects of personal injury litigation, with particular experience in car and truck collisions, motorcycle crashes, premises liability, dog attacks, wrongful death matters, and nuanced liability cases requiring detailed factual and legal analysis.
In his career, Kojo has helped hundreds of Minnesotans and their families recover millions of dollars from insurance companies for the harms and losses they have experienced following what often becomes the most difficult and transformational aspects of their lives.
Kojo founded Addo Law to provide a level of attention, communication, and thoroughness rarely seen in a high-volume industry. His philosophy is simple: listen deeply, prepare fully, and fight tirelessly. At the center of everything he does is a belief that every client deserves to be seen, heard, and advocated for with integrity and strength. That commitment defines Addo Law.
